Ausbildung is Germany's dual vocational training: you learn a trade at a company (3 to 4 days a week) and at vocational school (1 to 2 days), earning a salary every month, with no need for a flawless school record or a big budget.

Dual training: company and school, at the same time
In Germany, Ausbildung trains people for more than 300 recognized trades, not just industry: healthcare, hospitality, retail, IT, logistics, skilled crafts. You sign a real employment contract (Ausbildungsvertrag) with a company, which pays you for the entire length of the training (2 to 3.5 years depending on the trade), alongside classes at the Berufsschule.
No recognition of your Moroccan diploma is required to sign a contract: a real advantage over the Studium and Fachkraft paths.
The company must be officially certified to train apprentices (IHK or HWK accreditation): DeinWeg checks this before ever proposing an offer to you.
At the end, you get a German professional diploma recognized nationwide, and very often a direct job offer from the company that trained you.

Trap number one: thinking B1 is enough
B1 is the legal minimum to get the visa, but Berufsschule runs entirely in German, with technical vocabulary closer to B2 level. We'll tell you straight: aiming for B2 before you leave changes everything for the rest of your training.

Do I need to already speak German to get started?
No. B1 is the legal minimum to sign, but you can start building your file with us while you raise your level with a partner language school.
I don't have my baccalaureate. Can I still go?
Yes, for many trades. It's one of the biggest advantages of this path: a basic school-leaving certificate is often enough, and no diploma recognition is required.
Is the salary enough to live on without help from my parents?
The legal minimum salary (€682 to €724 depending on the year) covers basic needs in most German cities, and the real average is closer to €1,133. From €1,048 gross, that is €822 net per month, you don't even need a blocked account (Sperrkonto).
How long does an Ausbildung last?
Between 2 and 3.5 years depending on the trade you choose, paid from the first day to the last.
What happens once the training is over?
You get a German professional diploma recognized nationwide, and the company that trained you very often hires you directly. It's the safest springboard toward settling in Germany for good.
